What is an investigation?

An investigation starts with a decision or recommendation you need to make. HUBL works with you to understand the question, investigate what matters, examine the evidence and produce a recommendation you can explain.

Some decisions require more investigation than others. HUBL determines the appropriate depth from the significance and complexity of the decision rather than asking you to choose how much thinking it should do.

How investigation starts work

Individual receives 3 new investigation starts each month. Unused starts may accumulate to a maximum available balance of 6. Professional receives 15 each month, accumulating to a maximum of 30. Annual subscribers still receive their allowance monthly.

Starting a new meaningful investigation consumes a start. Continuing an existing investigation does not consume another start, and an investigation already underway is not interrupted when a monthly cycle changes.

Plans FAQ

Does Individual use a less capable version of HUBL?

No. Core reasoning and evidence standards are consistent across HUBL plans. Plans differ principally in investigation capacity, depth, deliverables and organisational capabilities.

What happens if an investigation becomes more complex than expected?

HUBL follows the evidence to the depth appropriate to the decision and may identify separate substantial questions that are better investigated independently.

Do unused investigations carry forward?

Unused starts accumulate up to 6 for Individual and 30 for Professional.

Can several people share Professional?

No. Professional is initially a single-user plan. Enterprise is designed for organisational deployment.
