Understand the decision before deciding.

HUBL helps you investigate complex business questions by working out what matters, examining the evidence available, identifying what remains uncertain, and developing a supported view of what to do next.

Problem

Important questions deserve important consideration.

Complex business questions rarely come with a neat set of facts and a single obvious path. They often contain hidden assumptions, missing evidence, conflicting information, competing priorities, and uncertainty that matters to the decision.

The challenge is not simply generating a plausible answer. It is understanding what the question is really asking, what matters most, and what evidence is strong enough to support a decision.

What HUBL does

HUBL builds the understanding needed to decide.

HUBL helps people investigate a business question in a more structured way.

  • Understand what the user is really trying to decide
  • Identify what matters and what can be set aside
  • Establish what is already known
  • Recognise important gaps and unknowns
  • Investigate relevant evidence
  • Examine assumptions and surface uncertainty
  • Update the understanding as new information changes the picture
  • Build toward a supported view of what to do next

Understanding develops through investigation. Evidence and assumptions reshape the path forward—investigation is iterative, not sequential.

Evidence and uncertainty

Know what supports the decision — and what doesn't.

Evidence

What supports or challenges the emerging view. HUBL keeps the relevant facts, observations and sources visible so their significance can be assessed.

Assumptions

What is currently being treated as true. HUBL makes important assumptions explicit so they can be examined rather than silently shaping the decision.

Uncertainty

What remains unknown or unresolved. HUBL keeps material uncertainty visible so confidence reflects what is actually known.

From investigation to output

HUBL works toward the decision you actually need to make.

HUBL is not designed to generate endless conversation. It works toward a clearer view of the decision itself.

  • Supported recommendation
  • Options comparison
  • Risk view
  • Business case
  • Priorities for action
  • Explicit uncertainty

Human judgement

Built to support judgement, not replace it.

HUBL structures the investigation, surfaces evidence and uncertainty, and makes the reasoning easier to inspect. It does not remove the responsibility for consequential judgement from the human user.

The job is to help people reason more clearly about difficult decisions, not to substitute a simple answer for judgement.
